BBC Breakfast presenter and journalist Louise Minchin has joined forces with Dogs Trust to open a new centre in Denton, Manchester.

The building has undergone a £7m revamp and now boasts air conditioned kennels and underfloor heating. Minchin commented 'My family and I are all dog lovers and to be able to help officially open the doors to somewhere that could offer people the chance to find their own furry friend is great. It's been hard not to adopt all of the dogs I've met, but we've decided to leave some for the families of Manchester'.
